An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5, macOS Sonoma 14.5, tvOS 17.5, visionOS 1.2, watchOS 10.5. An app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
iPadOS < 18.2 - Authenticated Out-of-bounds Read via Type Confusion
A type confusion issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, macOS Sequoia 15.2. An attacker with user privileges may be able to read kernel memory.
