EIP-2026-102983

This exploit leverages a race condition in rpi-update's insecure temporary file handling to perform a symbolic-link attack, allowing an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files and escalate privileges to root. It uses inotify to monitor file modifications and swaps a malicious script into place when root modifies the target file.
