Anchore Enterprise Privilege Escalation via User Management API

Anchore Enterprise versions from 5.11.0 to 5.27.1 and 6.0.0 contain an improper privilege escalation vulnerability in the user management API. An authenticated attacker who is able to access the Anchore Enterprise API could issue an API call capable of modifying user permissions to gain access to additional resources and operations. It is not possible to grant the system-admin role, but a read only user could be granted write access. This issue is fixed in Anchore Enterprise 5.27.2 and 6.0.1.

When processing API requests, the Alteryx server 2022.1.1.42654 and 2024.1 used MongoDB object IDs to uniquely identify the data being requested by the caller. The Alteryx server did not check whether the authenticated user had permission to access the specified MongoDB object ID. By specifying particlar MongoDB object IDs, callers could obtain records for other users without proper authorization. Records retrievable using this attack included administrative API keys and private studio api keys.

Information Disclosure in Amazon ECS Container Agent

We identified an issue in the Amazon ECS agent where, under certain conditions, an introspection server could be accessed off-host by another instance if the instances are in the same security group or if their security groups allow incoming connections that include the port where the server is hosted. This issue does not affect instances where the option to allow off-host access to the introspection server is set to 'false'. This issue has been addressed in ECS agent version 1.97.1. We recomme
